This week I have been getting over a nasty disease called foot, mouth and disease. In short it causes little blisters to spread all over your feet, mouth, hands and anywhere else it deems best.
It has been a very interesting time.
So besides taking more time to rest than usual, I have made sure to go about finding things I am thankful for as a blogger.
It is amazing to think of all of the possibilities we have as online writers. Never in the history of the internet has it been so easy to setup a blog.
Within no more tun 20 minutes the basics to having a your own domain name, and a self hosted WordPress can be setup.
Less than 20 minutes.
How crazy is that.
Even just 10 years ago with the internet in existence, having a blog was very complicated. I don’t even know if the term “blog”, even really existed.
But know, the barriers are down. You can build your own Platform now. You can make it look the way you want.
You can utilize video and podcasts as additional mediums to reach people with your message.
And social media allows you to discuss with others anywhere in the world.
The only problem is that the means to actually spreading your message and building your Platform requires hard work and time.
It requires commitment and consistency. It requires you to move forward even when you are sick.
These important traits are crucial to have a message that reaches others and one for which I struggle with daily.
But I am not a quitter, and neither are you.
So don’t give up and keep producing content, even when you it is hard to do so.
Just think of all of the people who will have wished they stuck with it after how far you have come.
